Drew Elliott joins M.A.C. Cosmetics as global creative director
M.A.C. Cosmetics has tapped Paper Editor-in-Chief Drew Elliott for the role of senior vice president, global creative director. Effective October 28, Elliott will report to M.A.C. Senior Vice President, General Manager Philippe Pinatel, as well as adding a matrix reporting line to John Demsey, executive group president of The Estée Lauder Companies.
Dazed Media names Dazed fashion director, announces departure of Another Man editor-in-chief
Dazed Media has named Emma Wyman fashion director of Dazed. Previously senior fashion editor of the magazine, Wyman has also been appointed fashion director of Dazed Beauty. Her first Dazed issue in this role will be published February 2020.
The media group also announced the departure of Ben Cobb, editor-in-chief of Another Man, after 10 years at the magazine and four years at its helm.
Surface Media appoints Dennis Freedman to consulting creative director role
Surface Media has named Dennis Freedman, formerly the founding creative director of W Magazine and creative director of Barneys New York, consulting creative director with immediate effect.
Kim Bui Kollar named fashion director of Tatler Asia and editor-in-chief of Hong Kong Tatler
Creative consultant Kim Bui Kollar, formerly style director of 3.1 Phillip Lim, has been named editor-in-chief of Tatler Hong Kong and executive fashion director of Tatler Asia, effective October 10. She reports to Tatler Asia Chief Content Officer Danica Lo.
Walmart US announces new CEO
Walmart has named John Furner president and chief executive of Walmart US, effective November 1. Furner will report directly to Walmart President and CEO Doug McMillon. He replaces Greg Foran, who is moving to become CEO of Air New Zealand but will be stay on at the company until January 31, 2020 for a transitional period.
Kohl’s promotes company veteran to CFO
Kohl’s has named Jill Timm, formerly executive vice president of finance at the company, its new chief financial officer. He replaces Bruce Besanko, whose departure takes effect November 1.
Tod’s names Walter Chiapponi creative director
Tod’s has named Walter Chiapponi creative director of its men’s and women’s collections. Chiapponi, who was most recently at Bottega Veneta, replaces former womenswear designer Alessandra Facchinetti, who exited the company in 2016, and Andrea Incontri, who stepped down as menswear designer in June.
